Ma profession de foi (anglais)

Sergio Coronado :

Born in 1970, I left Chile after the putsch and grew up in Argentina. French since 1994, I am a bi-national. My work at the European parliament and later on at the French parliament gave me in-depth knowledge of institutions. I have also been elected. Settled in Colombia since 2009 I since live in between two continents. I know our district and our specific concerns.

François Boucher :

Elected advisor in the AFE, secretary of the Socialist Party for the Mexico Benito Juarez section. 58 years old, I have spent 28 years in Latin America and the Caribbeans: Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic. I am both French and Latin American. Together with Sergio Corronado, we will commit to serving you. We aim at giving a majority to change by bringing a seat to the presidential majority.

Fellow citizens,

On June 2nd and 16th we will have for the first time the opportunity to elect a deputy for French citizens living in the 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbeans. I am a candidate to this election with my substitute François Boucher, elected at the Assembly of french citizens living abroad and a member of the Socialist Party.

We embody left wing and ecologists cohesion, supported by our president elect François Hollande, the socialist party and EELV.

We form a team, experienced and dedicated to our community. The latter is diverse and mainly bi-national. This is also true for the France that we support and love.

French residing abroad are in vast majority not wealthy, they face schooling problems, access to social welfare and retirement.

Security is also an issue.

When elected, I will actively work in close proximity to be attentive to your needs with the cooperation of my substitute Francois Boucher, the three left wing AFE advisors from our district and delegates in each of the concerned countries.

I will be a committed deputy to give strength to change.

I will support François Hollande’s strong commitments:

  • Priority to education and training for a better access of youth to employment.
  • Economic, industrial and agricultural recovery.
  • A welfare Europe which turns its back to austerity and chooses sustainable economic development.
  • Balance in public finance to regain our sovereignty in the market
  • Tax, welfare and territorial justice.
  • Moralization of public office and an impartial state

We must:

  • Elaborate specific measures to enable all french children established outside France to gain access  to stipends with a  system that is more fair and just than the present one (PEC). Solutions must be found for  2/3  of the children that at present have no access to french schools abroad (FLAM program and bilingual classes).
  • Reinforce the consular network to favor french citizenship in foreign countries by ameliorating the present operation of these consulates and stopping the reduction of positions that aggravates the situation.
  • Facilitate the insertion of foreign partners  upon their return to France and consider double nationality as a source of enrichment for the country
  • Facilitate the sejourn of foreign students in France to enable our universities and high schools to receive them in better conditions  than at present
  • Reinforce the cultural, scientific and economic collaboration between France and regional countries that has been weakened during the last years
  • Act in favor of human and environmental rights

“Republican values, liberty, equality and fraternity, human dignity, equality between men and women and secularism. All these are levers that we must together push to fulfill my mission. These last month I talked about the french dream, it is our history, our future, it is simply name progress, the long path for each generation to have a better life than the previous one. This french dream which you all share for you want your children to have a better life than ours. This is the dream I will work hard to fulfill for the mandate that I have received ». François Hollande
